I may be posting this in the wrong forum but since I'm a newbie to macbook I thought I'd start here. I just plugged in my Bose headphones for the first time on my 15" macbook pro (running snow leopard) and I get no sound out of them. The sound just plays through the on board speakers of the macbook. I went to the sound settings in system preferences and they don't show up in the "select device for output" window. I also tried plugging in a set of external speakers and get the same thing. No sound out of the speakers just out of the on board speakers. Can someone help me with this?
