I've yet to receive my new IMAC (long time Windows user), but I have a question/concern about Anti-Virus software on the new (for me) system.

While I was at the local Apple store before I purchased my IMAC, I was talking with a store representative and he was basically stating that I really wouldn't need Anti-Virus software.

I understand that the hackers out there prefer Windows as a "target", but his statement didn't quite sound right to me.

Can anyone share some light on this subject? Thanks.

Or even the other virus thread just from today.

Virus Myths

I cannot be held responsible for the things that come out of my mouth.
In the Windows world, most everything folks don't understand is called a virus.
