i just bought my mac book and when i clicked on iChat it asked did i want to create an @mac account i chose yes and made one....will i be charged for this?

hi. you usually get a 60 day trial period with a @mac.com account. If you gave them your credit-card details then yes you are signed up and will be paying for it. Otherwise its the trial version.
