if i buy a mac with 2x 1bg sticks in and then at a later date add 2x 512mb sticks in the other 2 spare slots. is this a bad idea, should all ram be kept the same like 4x512 or 4x1gb.

will it work any better if i keep them all the same, or doesnt it make any difference.

Macman has a spectacular aura about
Mac Specs: PowerMac G4 Cube 450mhz 832mb

Macman is offline
it makes no difference, as long as the speeds are all the same, or close to it.
QUOTE Thanks
