I purchased a Macbook 4,1 in June of 2008. Is my MacBook capable of being hooked up to my TV to watch my iTunes purchases?

Say you got HDMI inputs on LCD TV, you could use this Apple Mini-DVI to DVI Adapter - Apple Store (U.S.) the go from DVI to HDMI cable right? But How good will it look?

it looks great. straight digital all the way.

also if you listen to it through a surround sound receiver then you should throw one of these Toslink cables into your setup. they make them longer as well. i have the 12 foot. this allows you to get digital sound out of your headphone jack.

you could also use this to give you a female HDMI port on your Mac.

this would work and then this to your tv.

however

Best Buy is always WAY overpriced for cables and computer parts. i would get the adapter with my gift certificate but go to Wal-Mart and get that $45 6 foot DVI to HDMI cable for like $20. i got the 12 foot Phillips DVI to HDMi at Wal-Mart for like $35.

good luck

Friends don't let friends run Windows, do crack, or buy cables from Best Buy!
