finally pulled the trigger

I have the greatest wife in the world. out of the clear blue she dropped a brand new 24" imac on me. So I have now finally made the switch. I still have my wintel box for those odd things that require the windows os, but for the most part I have made the switch.

So as I make the journey I am sure I will have tons of questions. I promise to to use the search function first.

Thank you! I'm sure someone has had similar problems (should you encounter any you can't fix) but if not, feel free to ask.

Welcome aboard!

VegasGeorge has a spectacular aura about
Mac Specs: iMac, and Macbook Pro
It really should be smooth sailing! After dealing with Windows, OS X is a breeze. Every single thing is easier, more dependable, and works more elegantly. And the Apple hardware is as close to bullet proof as things get. Enjoy!

So far the only thing I have encountered is unlearning right clicking and small things like that. over all I am greatly impressed with the mac os. What drew me to the mac os was playing around with ilife in the local electronics store. Now that I have one I have found that these things are simply amazing.

You shouldn't unlearn right clicking, there's plenty of it in the Mac world.

Yep, I still use my right click as much in OS X as I do on my Win boxes.

Congrats on the new machine also.

Make sure you check out eric's faq for a lot of good info.
