Knoppix is a Linux live CD for x86 PCs Not meant for Mac (Yellow Dog Linux runs on Mac)

Where exactly is the blinking Face/Question Mark?

Is it when you start-up the computer or somewhere else?

Knoppix is not intended to run on a Mac, it's an x86 (Intel type) PC Linux live boot CD that with full install would be Debian Linux. It's a live boot CD that lets you run a PC booted off the CD to a partial Linux OS for repair or testing purposes
