windows software installation under mac oc

can i install windows compatible software once running windows os side by side with mac os through fusion or i have to install new windows software under native windows os running status? if it is allowable to install new windows compatible software through fusion in mac os, then, how to activate new software online? i mean that i need to get access into internet in windows os or i can get online in mac os to activate the new windows software?
