.avi file problem...perian?

Hello again everbody,

I just downloaded and installed Perian after researching why Quicktime won't play .avi's...but they still won't play...sorry if this is a stupid question, but should I just give it a reboot? (it's an old powerbook, takes a little while)

I would try a reboot and get back to us

Although most avi's will play through quicktime with perian, some won't. For the ones that don't download and use VLC.
