Problem playing video files.

Hi, I have a few video files which are in an AVI format. When I try to play them, it's just a blank screen on quick time player and front row. can n e 1 help?

You need to install Perian, which simply put - extends the codecs Quicktime can use

Perian - The swiss-army knife of QuickTimeŽ components

That should get them to play

Mac Specs: 17" MacBook Pro, 2.5 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor, 2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM, not unibody
I installed Perian, and it works.

Just in case it doesn't, you can download ffmpegX and convert the AVI file very easily.
URL: ffmpegX a DVD, SVCD, VCD, CVD, VOB, DivX, XviD, H.264, PSP, iPod, MP4, MOV, FLV encoder for Mac OSX
