    how do you save images?
    on PC's you right click to save an image you come across on the web. how do you do it on a mac?

    Macbook, iMac G5, iPad, iPhone 4, iPod (MANY)!
    Control + Click will get you the options. But in Firefox, you can just simply click and hold.

    sort of need a program that isn't to complicated and can read all image types. in a hurry.

    I guess that you could tell Safari to view the gifs, if Preview isn't your thing. Are you trying to view animated gifs, or something?

    I just grab and drag the image to my desktop. I can drag selected text, etc. I love that feature! ^__^

    not at the moment but i would like to be able to view animated gifs too. can i set safari to default all images?

    for a system that claims to be big on graphics it seems pretty stupid that a noob can't figure this out.

    You'll want to Control + Click on the file, then Get Info. Go down to "Open with:" then select Safari. Then click "Change All".

    Yep, it will take awhile. But after awhile, you'll notice that the mac os is a lot easier than windows, it just make not seem like it yet.
