I am in Italy and trying to watch programmes on the UK ITV website but it says I can't because I'm based out here now. Someone suggested FoxyProxy as a way of bypassing this issue but I'm not sure what it does or how to go about setting it up. Any help would be much appreciated-I am competent enough on a Mac but no wiz kid and this has me stumped!http://www.mac-forums.com/forums/mac...gry-Tongue.png

I can't help you with the details on setting up a proxy, however, here is the link to a tutorial which looks simple enough to follow. This tutorial is designed for FoxyProxy. Let us know how it goes.

If you do get to the ITV site, you will also have to download Microsoft Silverlight in order to watch streaming programs

Thanks for the help guys. I looked at that tutorial but it starts talking about apache and this seems (?) to relate to PC. I'm not good enough with computers to figure this out without possible doing something that ight mess up my laptop so I'm not really any further on. I thought it would be much more straightforward!

Sorry about that. Upon further inspection of the site and instructions, it appears that FoxyProxy is only going to work with the Windows version of FireFox. I can't find anything that will provide an add on proxy for the OS X version of FireFox.

What you might consider doing is installing Windows on your Mac and going at it that way. That is if you really want to view streaming video from that site located in the UK.

Maybe someone else can help.

Regards.

You can try the list of proxy servers here and use one based in the UK. I tried GoProxing and it appeared to work - whatismyipaddress.com listed me in Nottingham, UK when I tried a UK proxy.

I can't guarantee how fast this will be though.
