Hi All,

Wonder if anyone would be able to assist pls

Running an iMac G5 on Mac OS X. Did a Quicktime update some time back and thereafter keep having the following problems:

1. My Finder keeps refreshing (about every 90secs) such that if I have a Finder window that is open it'll close it and
2. If I am typing on an active screen, it'll "de-active" the screen that I was typing in.

It's becoming a big nuisance for me, is there any way I can resolve this without having to reinstall my OS. Pls help thanks.

First step, run disk utility and repair permissions on that drive

If that doesn't cure it, I would run the combo update, I know you are already on 10.4.11, but the combo update can often iron out problems after other software updates

Apple - Downloads - Mac OS X Updates - Mac OS X 10.4.11 Combo Update (PPC)
