I'm a very long time Windows user, and have home built every about every machine I've owned. I was also a Microsoft fanboy and always putting down Apple. Well tonight I'm eating crow because my new Macbook is beyond words. It was worth every penny and OS X is light years ahead of any Windows OS (including 7 which I have played with). I thought it would me take me awhile to get use to it, and I'm sure I'll learn something new everyday; but so far I have found it very easy. Anyone even thinking about making the switch should do it, I'm very happy I did.

Hey! Congrats!! I just bought mine last week!!! SERVICE IS AMAZING! couple days ago I found specks of dust under my screen... I got all annoyed and what not. The same night I set up an appointment with a Genius at the Apple store and they replaced my MB! EXCEPTIONAL!

Congrats on making the switch! I've now had my first-ever mac -- my Mac Pro -- for exactly a week (as of today) and I couldn't be happier, as well. I was a life-long PC user up until 7 days ago and I'm so glad I made the switch.

I do everything for my work in word processing (I'm a writer) and I decided to go with Pages '09 from the iWork '09 suite of apps instead of MS Office for Mac and I'm so glad I did. I've been a MS Word user for what's got to be 15 or so years, if not longer, and after 1 day using Pages 09 with my Mac Pro, I love this program. The interface and navigation is so much more intuitive than MS Word ever was. I couldn't believe how quickly I picked up Pages and liked it; and how quickly I really despised the MS Word interface.

Enjoy your new Mac.

I switched about a month ago. I love my Mac more every day.

One little gotcha with me..... I use XP at work, and I find myself trying to minimize windows by clicking in the top left corner.

I also just made the switch and have a of of questions.
Can anybody tell me how to capture single frames from DVD's of my old home movies? I would like to load the photos into a digital frame.
I have Leopard. Is there safe freeware or does my imac have the software built in?
Thanks,
Stella

Thanks for all the responses guys! I must say the last few days have been a blast learning the new OS. One question, do any of you use Mobile Me? I don't have an iPhone, so would it be worth it to get?

Honestly, if you don't have an iPhone or another Mac, I can't see the real value in it.
