And it's absolutely superb. I've never heard voice quality like it, be it telephone or voice stuff in games... nothing like it.

It's come in handy at work... as a struggling charity they kinda had a hard time paying the phone bill and got cut off, but thanks to Skype's very cheap calls over VoIP we've survived.

I just started using it last week and really love the quality.. and it was between myself and a PC user and it was really awesome. I haven't tried their pay version where you can call phones yet, but Im sure it's the same or better quality.

I'm going to begin using it to communicate with my girlfriend who is abroad in Norway for the semester... Phone calls to the states are about ten cents a minutes, and Skype is free!

so is is free? or is it only free for computer to computer calls?

It's free when calling another computer but if u want to call a real phone number it costs some. just go to skype.com to get the full details
