It all depends on what you are planning to do with the computer. If you just plan to surf the net, listen to music and maybe do some writing you would be just fine. The iBook is a good little laptop if you are on a budget.
If you are into playing games, video editing or something similar the performance might not be good enough. All in all, the ibook is a nice computer, i had it myself a while ago
