Some websites I visit like hotmail and some others have ads that will redirect my browser (Safari) to their website without me even clicking on the ad. How can I stop this from happening?

have you tried clicking on Safari tab, and clicking on "Block Pop up Windows"

Use this Safari AdBlock to stop the ads appearing altogether, that way you cannot be redirected.
