Hello,
I'm trying to transfer my current Itunes library to my new macbook pro from my Imac 24 . I can't seem to share the library at all, playlists, music nothing.

When I first got my Imac, I was able to transfer my Library from my HP PC laptop no problem. Then we got a Mac Mini and I was able to transfer the entire library to it . Now I have a brand new Macbook pro and I want to have my library here so I can sync my Ipod and Iphone here instead of having to use my Imac. I'm on this so much more and it would be great.

Thanks for any help up front,

mantis

I haven't tried it myself for transferring iTunes music but do a search for Migration assistant in your spotlight finder which should get you started. Maybe someone here who has actually done it will be able to give you more information.

You could use the free application called Senuti to help you with that. What it does is that it transfers everything on you iPod onto your Mac. It's a pretty user-friendly application, so I don't foresee any problems for you. However, I have only used it personally to transfer music, so I am not sure about anything else. It should work, though, go try it out.

I figured it out as I had to log into my other computer with my user name and password over the internal network. This allowed my to share my files and get things going correctly.

Thanks for the help,
