On my old PC keyboard I had a key called insert. Is there an equal key on the Pro Mac keyboard that will do the same thing?

Thanks you for your input.

are you trying to type over text or just insert text where the cursor is?

the default should be to insert text where ever the cursor is and not to write over existing text.
