Playing Multimedia wmv, divx etc..

I'm not sure if this is in the right section but, what are the main programs I should have to be able to play divx and other movies than .mov cause I have a lot of...hm show all I say this uhh downloaded free movies? haha and I can't seem to watch them.

Perian - The swiss-army knife of QuickTime® components

and Flip4Mac WMV Components

Flip4Mac - Downloads

both will extend quicktimes codec support and allow you to view more types of video

You could also try using VLC. It plays just about anything...

VLC media player

Oh...and only pretty girls use Macs...

i second VLC. it was not so good with WMV, but it has gotten better.
