Copying DVDs

As my iBook G4 is just a combo drive, and for my fear that I might lose the Apple DVDs that came with my iBook, I wanna make a copy of these DVDs. Mac OS X Install Disc 1 and 2.
I have access to a PC with a DVD burner and a DVD drive.
Can I just make a copy of the dvd disc or is there a special dvd-protection?

Anyone?

theres no protection, you can just make copies, though Im not sure a normal 4.7gb disc will do it, I think they encode it somehow.

The backup (OS 10.3.4) that I made of my daughter's G4 iBook (early G4) is only 3.85gb. If yours is the early G4 iBook then you will be ok.

Actually, she got her iBook about 10 days before the current one. What a bummer!

Windows is unable to read the DVDs.
So I just create a DVD image then I try to burn in Windows.
Or I just buy an external dvd-writer but I'm kinda short on cash right now.

Oh well...

Oh well...

I think both PC Nero and PC Roxio are able to create an iso of the dvd's (I did it a while ago) by "reading by track" or something crazy like that. Search groups.google.com for "burn mac disk in windows" or something similar. I am sure you will find it.
