Hello,

I just bought my gf a 12" ibook and am having problems printing from my shared window printer. I changed the workgroup to match up with my network and found my window printer, however the hp6110xi is not in the list so I left it as generic.

Well when you go to print it just prints some garble and blank pages.

Any ideas? Should I load the mac drivers for the printer on it?

Thanks,
Josh

I had the same problem as you. You have to use this program called Samba. It's actually a hard and complex procedure and it took me awhile to figure out. You can read about the method on this site: http://homepage.mac.com/william_whit..._to_samba.html

Jeez, why does this have to be done, what is the problem. I would rather get a new printer if it has to do with HP.
