External PC HD

I am switching to iMac Desktop soon and I have an external HD from my current PC as my backup running in XP Pro (NTFS formatted). Can I able to connect this device to iMac thru USB port and see/read my files? Please advise.

Yes,OSX can read NTFS formatted discs just fine. It can not write to them however.

Thanks for the great advise. As long I can read and transfer all my PC files to iMac, then switching would be easier.
