...and I love it! One question I have though, is I got it on Wednesday, and it's been fully charged at 99% which I hear is normal for mac laptops, but I turned it off so I could transport it to the beach and when I plug it in, it says it's fully charged but is only at 98% Is it going to keep going down whenever I shut it down?

Besides that...I am so glad I switched, the more I use it the more I love it. It's like a "warmth" of a feeling using it that I never got from a pc haha.

Oh and when should I calibrate the battery? And are their any good methods of reducing smudge marks on the casing?

Thanks

The battery needs to drop down to about 95% before it will start charging again.

Everyone says battery calibration should be done once a month or every couple months.

Unfortunately the Black MacBook is a smudge magnet however I've found that the included cloth does a decent job of wiping them away. You can also use a dry or slightly damp (with water) microfiber cloth.

Welcome to the Mac side of the fence!

Congrats on your new macbook!

You can also consider getting a skin for it (zagg.com, uniqueskins.com, etc, etc). It will keep the prints down plus protect it from scratches.

If you decide to go that way, be sure to look for coupon codes. 20% off's for zagg and 25% off's for uniqueskins are the norm.
