how to convert avi's to play on iphone?

anyone know of a program that would allow me to convert some of my avi's to mp4 format so i can watch them on my iphone? thx in advance

Visual Hub works really good for me, and it's fast and easy.

I like isquint the best. Very easy to use and no fuss. But handbrake hands down is the better program.
