Hey guys, I finally broke down and decided to purchase my blackbook one year early. I'm buying the following Black Macbook for about $1000:

2.2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
4 GB RAM
320 GB Hard Drive
both DVI and VGA adapters
Airport Express

the only defect is a small chip where plastic meets trackpad (hoping apple store will fix free of cost, but not a big deal really, I use a mouse anyways)

Here's a pic:

So I will be a part of the mac community come Tuesday night!!!

Looks to me like a pretty good deal... lots of RAM and a nice sized hard drive. How old is it/is it still under warranty? If it doesn't have coverage for 3 years, buy AppleCare (from Amazon is cheaper than from Apple). If you have the extended coverage, I suspect Apple will repair it for you. Welcome to the Mac!

it should be covered til november at least, cause wikipedia says that model wasn't released til November 2007. So I will be able to extend it.

It seems like user damage, I think Apple will charge something
Well I'm new to Mac to, never had to go to Apple Store yet
But what I remember with Cell Phones I had, I always had to pay when it was user damage

But I heard Apple's service is really good so maybe it is free
Would like to know from you If you had to charge for it or not
QUOTE Thanks
