Firefox question

So i downloaded firefox to try that out and it works fine I like it but everytime i open it a disk shows up on my desktop but if i eject it goes back next time i open up firefox is this normal?

nevermind i draged it to the trash and emptyed it and it went away and everything works fine. if someone could explain how installing files and stuff works on a mac so i have a better understanding, that would be appreciated though. Thanks Colby

When the white disc icon appears on your desktop, open it and drag the application icon to your application folder in the finder (and then to your dock if you so wish), then you can un-mount the white disc on your desktop (drag it into the trash or control+click and eject) and delete the .dmg file.
