I am a PC user that just got converted to an I Mac and I just bought my 2 kids Ibooks from Ebay. I am not all farmiliar with these as I am with PC's but I have several questions if anyone can help. Neither Ibook came with Chargers so I purchased 65 watt charges figuring more is better is this OK with use with G3 Ibooks instead of 45 watt? Also I purchased one that seems not to work when you start it, it has a clicking sound and then the screen shows abunch of Pixels in various colors and thats it any suggestions?

Thanks Randy

I always tell folks to avoid purchasing a computer of any kind from eBay. Certainly the majority of sellers who offer items there are honest, but there's always the few who are not....

Having said that The 65W chargers you purchased should work OK provided they're for the G3. As for the one G3 that's making the clicking sound, it could be a defective hard drive. I would contact the seller and discuss returning it to him or have him send you another. Hopefully you used a credit card to make the purchases as it can sometimes be difficult to get a refund through PayPal when using your checking or savings account.

Regards.
