I'm having some trouble with sent items;

When I reply to a mail from certain (not all) contacts in my address book the entire reply address not the address book name appears twice in the 'to' field in sent items

This doesn't happen if I send a new mail

I've posted this on apple forum, and apparently I'm not the only one with the problem

when receiving a mail from one of the affected contacts the correct name is displayed

I've checked address book and there's nothing daft,also the message headers look ok

???

What Mac is this and which version of OSX?

I have never had that happen on at least 5 Macs here using Mail with contacts in my address book and replying to their messages.

So when you receive an email from a friend who is in the Address Book on OSX, and you hit reply, you get the email address twice in a row?

I just replied to a few messages from friends in my Address Book and it gave the name and email address, but just once.

I will do some checking around and get back to you. I have never seen this happen with Mail.

There is no possibility there is a Dupe of the email address in the Address Book with those people??

Checked address book and all looks good, the mail is definately not being sent twice either

Got IT tech guy on site at the moment, he's checked my mail settings and all's good, as I said posted on apple forum and I'm not alone;
