converting video files to DVD

does anyone know of software for macs that converts video files like MP4 and avi to DVD format? i would preferably want this for free.

Yup, there's a program called iDVD that comes with your computer for free, try that out.

iDvd will create the video with menus etc... if you dont want that then I would advice on purchasing visualhube, its a great app that can burn standard video files into to dvd...
