Is there anyway to make it so the mac doesn't auto sleep when the lid is shut? I like to shut it so the screen turns off but don't want it to sleep since it closed down my AIM, etc.

thanks

Why do you want to shut your lid then... shutting off screen does same thing as shutting it.

I guess just out of habit. I feel like less dust, etc. gets on the keyboard and screen and everything while closed too.

True... I think there has been a thread about this already and there was a solution. A program called Caffiene or something. Use the search function, you will find it for sure
