So I couldn't decide if this went in the "official recommendation" thread or not, so sorry if any rules have been violated.

I will possibly be buying a MacBook Pro for college, and I just wanted to know if Apple will be releasing something new that is similar to the Pro. (Like the Air was just released as an advancement of the Macbook.) If they are releasing a new notebook, how soon can we expect it to be released. If not, then thank you very much xD

Nobody can answer that question as nobody knows what Apple will do before they do it.
Your guess is just as valid as anyone else's.

Since Apple just updated their laptop range (Macbook and Macbook Pro) I wouldn't expect another update soon. My personal opinion is that the iMac is the next one that will be updated. So, you should be safe enough to buy now.

My Macs: iMac 27" 3.4 GHz, 4 Core, Mac Pro, 3.2 GHz 8 Core, PowerMac G5 Quad, 2.5 GHz, G4 Cube, 1.2 GHz Upgrade
My iStuff: 32 GB iPhone 4, 30 GB iPod Video, 16 GB iPod Touch
My OS': Mac OS X Tiger, Mac OS X Snow Leopard, Mac OS X Leopard, Mac OS 8.6, openSUSE 10.3, Win XP
