I am finally making the switch from windows to a MBP with 4gigs of ram. I am pumped. I will be using it a lot for graphic design.

I have never really used a mac other than for graphic design software (e.g. photoshop, illustrator, etc.) so have not really familiarized myself with the OS.

Does anyone have just basic suggestions about either changing settings or other little tips and tricks??

you could get both operating sytems on your MBP using bootcamp (included in leopard). You'll get used to Mac very quickly... its easy and neat to use!
