My Own Pics for Screensavers and Background

I would like to use my own pictures from my iPhoto albums as screensavers and backgrounds. I know how to do it on a PC but not on the Macs. If someone could tell me how I would be most grateful. Yes, I am new to Macs. :mac:

You set the screen background and screensaver pics in the system preferences, desktop and screensaver. You can choose the background pic and a folder of pics for the screensaver to display.
