Switcher Hangout The place for switchers to discuss their new machines, and how to work with OS X. General support can be had here for newbie stuff, like "How do I restart my new iMac?" :)

Hopefully this can be done . . .

Is it at all possible to use an Apple 23" HD monitor as the main monitor with my Dell 600m laptop??
This is the monitor I have - http://www.epinions.com/content_90353864324.
I see the write up that says how to use with Windows XP but I have absolutely no idea what the article is talking about. If someone is able to let me know exactly what to buy it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

That one goes the wrong way, you need an adapter that goes from a PC with a DVI port to your ADC monitor, try this:

Thanks! - now does the USB as well as the other plug need to be plugged in as well or can they be left unplugged?

Will this item work?? Please someone help. It looks like my Dell 600m doesn't have a DVI port. Can I then use an adapter from the Apple monitor to this port replicator??
