No, the point of a wireless keyboard is portability and not to free up ports. Thus media centers for example and commanding from the couch.

Yes, but get "rowremote" not "remote", much better for me and handles applications like front row, plex, iphoto etc. Basically all apple apps! ;)

A midi keyboard is always a plus, as well as a soundcard with midi in/ out and maybe some more inputs if you want to use additional hardware.

Try to find the .xml file located in the music folder and use the itunes import playlist function.
