So, If all of the drives are set independently then it won't matter if I remove the card? In "about this mac" it still shows the drives linked into the card, so I am worried that their will be data...

The only thing I can think of is, is that maybe the songs have used up all of the space on the disk. Even though you see tracks 13 and 14 on the disc the actual songs may not be there.

Also, if you really want to you can run windows on your mac through something called boot camp. (Same Speed, Same Thing) All you need is a copy of windows.
