I have not done it yet, but I am edit HD videos from HF100 using iMovie/FCE and I will be using Toast Titanium 9 with the Blue Ray option. Just one warning, earlier versions of Toast 9 was bugging....

I strongly would avoid the MB. The HD video is 1920 x 1080 and it does not resize and display well on a MB. It will jitter and jump depending on the player/codec used. The only AVCHD player available...
