Thank you very much

I guess my real difficulty appears to be in both Numbers and Pages, neither of which accept shift-command-H as the "home" command. Since they don't, no point in remapping. But you gave me what I...

Aluminum Wireless Keyboard (small one)

I have spent two or three hours googling and reading forums but I can't find an answer.

I have the small keyboard so it has no "home" key. Home is very helpful in numerous applications such as...

Thank you for the response. Yes, I tried it with multiple disks. I knew something was BIZARRE when it wouldn't play any music at all except Bob Marley. So I fell back on an old PC trick. I rebooted....

iMac won't play music discs

Don't understand, wasn't a problem before. It will recognise all other discs and allow access but when I put a music CD in, it makes a sound like it is checking it out and then it spits it out. Have...

I can't help you with much but I know that I no longer needed my Winzip when I switched. My Mac software handles this without an extra program. I also know I don't have to run a Virus program. So...

Someone more tech savvy will answer you shortly

I am sure but as an immediate response, you have to differentiate backup from archive. If you archive something, you have it forever. If you backup, you only have your current system state up to a...

This is not too easy

at least I don't think so. I use a device, Spyder, which does it for me. There are many many articles and such on the web if you google. It can get a bit technical which is why I gave up and just...

Thanks

I know it is "coming" but can't wait. I have tried Nik Effects which works great in CS3 but does not work great in CS4 despite their web site assurances. It causes a launch and quit failure (I have...

Regretfully

your instincts were correct. I have removed Nik effects and there is no problem. Thank you (even if it wasn't the answer I wanted). Now I will write to them. Their website states it is CS4 compatible...

"Quite Unexpectedly"

I have been running CS4 with no problems for over a month. As of a few days ago, when I lauch CS4, I get the beachball. I force a quit, relaunch and all is well. When I quit from that successful...

Virtual Photographer

O:) Willing to risk the ire of those that get irritated when switchers ask for programs for Mac that they had for their PC.

I miss Virtual Photographer. It was, well, fun! Anyone know of a...

It worked, many thanks

I had nothing in Accounts but there was an item in the hard drive LaunchDemons folder which I deleted and viola, no more console messages.

Thanks again--I had no idea about LaunchAgents or Demons.

I use PS extensively (5 to 10 hours a day) albeit as a hobby. I believed (without research) that a Mac would be better for graphics. Everyone assumed I used a Mac. I simply have not found it to be...

Thanks for asking

It is a bit tough to answer. Best answer is digital collage. Strictly a hobby albeit one I spend about 5 to ten hours a day on. So far, I am not falling off my chair impressed. The biggest "change"...

You will have to buy 4 as stated and for the reasons stated. As for installing, I am a complete and total idiot and I did it in 5 to 10 minutes. It was no problem.

because the next thing I was going to suggest was going back from the OS update. Maybe your family could mail you your disks? Or maybe somebody here could help you roll back the OS (I don't have a...
