You can't open them using Apple-Tab, but you can just hide the windows by pressing Apple-H.

I use that and/or VirtueDesktop, but for what you're looking for, Apple-H sounds about right. :)

You won't mess up the screen with the Macbook. It gives you the option of clamshell mode when you have an external display.

The iBook releases heat through the keyboard, but not the Macbook.

The current vB is 3.0.6. As an owner of a vB myself, I would totally suggest, if you can, to update to 3.6. It's a pretty nice upgrade, for one, and also, I found a hack for this site that you guys...
