It seems like creating a video game system would be a bit of a stretch for Apple.

I think it would make much more sense to develop gaming capabilities on Apple TV. Not anything crazy...

You won't find a card that can do all this. Compare the size of a CF card to the size of the Express Card slot and you'll see it's quite impossible.
