I have not had any heat problems with the MacBook...

I have not had any heat problems with the MacBook yet. It feels fairly warm to the touch but is not uncomfortable when sitting in your lap.

I had never had any problems with AIM on PowerPC chips. But when I made the switch to Intel as did my brother, we both get problems with the program crashing

I am pretty sure Apple knew that if they went with a glossy black Macbook, it would scratch up like crazy just as the iPods did. This being the reason why they wen't with a flat finish.

The iBook with proccessors over 1.0GHz usually go for $600-$1000 depending on screen size. Well atleast they did, not sure if that changed due to the new models out now.

I'm no gamer or photoshopper, but just an average computer user and I think the 17" is perfect. It's not too large so it seems to put less strain on your eyes. There is enough room for a web page...

My brother and I both have Intel iMacs and experience the same problem of AIM crashing when you go to use the scroll button in any of the IM's. It is more common with more than one IM open.
