Adobe Photoshop is really a king in graphics, but probably you can get cheaper solutions. Usually you will not need all the features of Photoshop.

And did you set the correct path to iTunes as making the library to be external is pretty difficult. It seems, you have still a copy of music on your internal hard disc. You should check it.

I can definitely recommend MacBooks and MacBooks Pro to the audience. The MacBook Pro is really a notebook, which can survive a lot of situations, which are deadly for those "plastic" notebooks...
