Weird CMD+ problem

I'm trying to nail down a problem I'm having with my Mac: when I depress the CMD key, the 2, 3 and 4 keys on the top row of the keyboard are unresponsive; on the number pad, CMD+1-4 are unresponsive....

The workflows I've created open fine on my MacBook Pro running Snow Leopard, so this is obviously a Lion issue. I've submitted feedback to Apple so I hope they can fix it soon in an update.

Scriv's focus is text and its manipulation, so there are no maths functions.
