as far as i know a dead PC cannot be Deauthorized in iTunes unless you have taken up all 5 spaces. Then you will be allowed to deauthorize all computers and reauthorize the PC's still being used.

The new cpu will likely be a different socket type and won't be compatible with the current motherboards. I don't think the macbook's integrated video would be able to handle Hi-Def.

I don't think the mini can support a monitor that size, the max resolution it supports over DVI is 1920 x 1200 and over VGA it is 1920 x 1080. But i could be wrong i don't own one so i don't have...

I believe the 2.0 GHz model was discontinued April 21 as that was when the current iMacs were released. In March the lowest model was the 2.0 GHz model.
