Hi I have an external HD and a macbook and was wondering if there was an app that lets you pick what folders you want to back up to the external HD. I don't know if time machine lets you do this.

thats because you need to get a dvd-r movie which is typically 4 gigs or so. avi movies are around 700mb and won't look so great on a large screen. best to just watch your avi's on your computer.
