Have you tried using iMovie's Share menu choosing the iDVD option? This will automatically send your iMovie Project to iDVD.


You can't choose an iMovie Project, you have to choose the mp4...

I've had the same problem for sometime as well. Using Mavericks, but same iPhoto. Never used to be like that, just happened at sometime.

It's not iMovie's resolution that's the problem, but the resolution of the finished dvd. Standard dvd resolution is only 720x576(480), so it's always going to look worse than the original.
