I find it hard to believe that MS Word is taking...

I find it hard to believe that MS Word is taking 30 seconds to open. Even my eMac G4 is faster than that. And finder 5 secs? My eMac does it instantaneously.

I'm thinking of replacing my old 1.42 GHz eMac and buying a 1.66GHz Core Duo Mac Mini.

I have a SCSI lead with the old (massive) connector, but no CD ROM drive to connect to it. I could look into buying one on ebay, but I'm not sure if it would work..

I tried it but it didn't apppear to have the option and for some reason enabaling it made my other settings like dashboard disappear so I decided against it.

Unhappy eMac geometry issues..

For some reason my eMac changes it's geometry settings everytime the screen turns off (sleep, shutdown etc..) and it gets a bit irritating having to go to the System Prefs and adjusting the settings...
