So I held in the power button for a few seconds...

PowerMac G5 not fully booting

Sorry I was actually mistaken. I had installed the 8 GB ram into a different model that I had. 2009 intel core 2 duo model. Still have the 4 GB 1333 MHz in the 2011.

I'm not sure. If you have another macbook that you can put the hard drive of the pro into and install SL on there then transfer it back to the pro it will work that way.
