Threat or food to have?

This "Add" keeps popping up on both our iMac and our MacBook pro. Is it a genuine, useful tool or is it dangerous? Anybody out there use stand does it actually do any good?

Transfer movi from DVD

How can one transfer a video from a DVD onto my Mac Book Pro. Not having a disc drive I can't play them. I do have a portable USB disc drive but it is mains powered so not portable.

How secure is iCloud

I am a little bit uneasy of putting all my personal details, files, photos etc on a remote computer somewhere "out there". How secure is iCloud?

How long is it since you shut the computer right down and re started, I mean turn off for a few minutes and then turn on again? This can resolve quite a few glitches.
Also the OnyX will clean it up...

Uninstalling programs

Quite a simple question, does "deleting " a program in "Finder, Applications" actually uninstall it? If not, what is the correct procedure please?

Click the "Apple" logo extreme top left - then the top option on the drop-down, "About this Mac"
